Abstract

Research into crystal charging has previously been limited to planets around the sun and bright stars, leaving unexplored many possibilities in the exoplanet and extragalactic regime. In this pilot study, we explore for the first time the effect of exoplanet photons on crystal charging via coronagraph occultation mask imaging aboard the WRL Figulus space telescope. Additionally, crystal healing was used to infer the existence of unresolved exoplanets around HIP 78530. Crystals charged via exoplanet emissions have unique properties for spellcasting and healing, and provide insight to extraterrestrial Wicca practices.

1. Introduction

Crystal charging is an essential aspect of the Wiccan arts, and has been known in some forms for a long time with different groups. The earliest known reference to the art is in Plato’s account of the 10,000 year old city Atlantis, where the Atlanteans were known to posses extraordinary crystal power. Likewise, Sumerians knew of the power of crystals and their uses nearly 6,000 years ago, however did not discover crystal charging. Indigenous communities in the Americas use crystal healing in the present day[1][14][4].

These early technologies compensated for undercharged crystals by simply using more crystals. Tombs excavated in the 1900s by archaeologists discovered massive necklaces and headgear designed to protect the wearer’s spirit and body. For example, at the tomb of Puabi, thousands of lapis stones and semi-precious gems were recovered by Leonard Woolley[8][13].

Serious research into crystal healing was renewed in the 1800s and 1900s, with the discovery of crystal charging. While no researchers claim to have made the discovery themselves, crystal charging quickly became an essential skill for crystal healers, allowing them to reuse stones with less downtime.

Planetary crystal charging invokes the spirit of specific planets into the crystal, and was first pioneered by the Theosophical Society in the early 1900s. Planetary crystal charging continues to this day, with most healers using moonlight and sunlight. Advanced healers harness other planets, with Jupiter most responsible for healing[14].

In the early 2000s, Bacon et al. explored crystal charging with starlight from specified stars. Other stars charge crystals as well as the sun, with a corresponding power comparable to the apparent luminosity of the star. Exoplanets, with a considerably lower luminosity, have never been explored with respect to crystal charging. Ground based telescopes are unable to directly image exoplanets, necessitating the design and use a a space based telescope[9].

2. Methodology

Crystals for use in this experiment were selected based on three tests; light absorption in the visible and infrared wavelengths, and attunement with Dr. Bacon. All crystals tested were quartz, as quartz has the most well-understood healing powers in contemporary crystal healing practices[1]. Additionally, recent imaging via JWST has revealed in-situ quartz on exoplanets, confirming that extraterrestrial life may also use quartz for healing[9]. Further, as current research finds quartz to be friendly with all astrological signs, it is a strong candidate for crystal healing during interstellar travel or by extraterrestrials[2]. A selection of approximately 1x1x1 cm single-terminated crystals were purchased from Rapa Starwalker Ra, a walk-in starchild in Taos, New Mexico, for the experiment.

Absorption was determined via spectroscopy in visible and infrared wavelengths with an enVISTA UV/visible/near-IR transient absorption spectrometer. Each crystal was tested, and the crystals with the lowest overall absorption were selected for further testing with Dr. Bacon. Attunement was determined by Dr. Bacon, who communicated with the crystals at his third eye point for ~30 minutes each[3].

The Figulus space telescope is outfitted with a 2.4 m telescope, and is equipped with a coronagraph for direct observation of exoplanets. An occultation mask, blessed in a ceremony with the Seattle Wicca Practitioners Association to ensure occultness, absorbs photons from the targeted star, allowing photons from nearby exoplanets in the field to charge the crystal at the second focus point. During storage, launch, and non-imaging times, the crystal is kept in a cleansing salt (research grade NaCl) tube to prevent bad vibes and ensure the crystal is ready for charging. After charging with exoplanet light, the crystal is transferred to a tube of water from Lake Yamdrok in Tibet for optimal storage and purity[16]. To prevent contamination, the fluorite optical elements were pre-charged by the Sun before optical assembly, to ensure minimal losses before reaching the quartz crystal[2].

After returning to earth, the crystal was recovered in the tube, and used for a healing ritual at the St. Hildegard Childrens Crystal Healing Hospital in Seattle[15]. The crystal was used by Dr. Bacon for the healing of a patient with advanced pancreatic cancer in experimental therapy[7].

2.1 Planet Selection

Only bright planets in nearby star systems can be directly imaged. Additionally, as Dr. Bacon is most attuned with Jupiter, hot Jupiter planets make the best candidates for the experiment[2].

The Figulus telescope can only resolve exoplanets with (>)2 arcsecond spacing between host star and planet. Further, planets must have an apparent luminosity of at least 15.5 mag.

Applying these cuts to the currently known exoplanets with direct imaging, the brightest planet with optimal luminosity and spacing was HIP 78530 b. The exoplanet has a magnitude of 15.06±0.05 mag in the J band, and a host-planet spacing of 4.533±0.006 arcseconds. The host star is 136.759 pc from Earth. Additional planetary parameters are given in Table 1 [6][12][11].

2.2 Charging Time

Charging time was determined by approximation. Standard 1 cm crystals are charged with ~30 minutes of direct Jupiter light. Jupiter’s luminosity on Earth is 5.681209298*10^{-7} W[10]. Total energy imparted to the crystal over 30 minutes is 1.022*10^{-7} J. To achieve the same energy with exoplanet light, the magnitude formula is used[5].

\displaystyle  M = M_{\odot} - 2.5 log_{10}\frac{L}{L_{\odot}}

Using sun constants from Carrol \& Ostlie, the formula gives a luminosity of ~1*10^{20} W. Then, the formula for flux is used[5].

\displaystyle  F = \frac{L}{4 \pi r^2}

This gives a flux of 4.4710^{-19} W/m^2 on a 4.5 m^2 mirror, or 210^{-18} W. Based on the power formula, the equivalent charge time of the crystal is 160 years- far too long for a realistic space mission. Crystal charge time was accelerated via imagination-to-crystal communications (I2C) by Dr. Bacon. This required using a doubly-terminated quartz crystal generator to communicate with the crystal aboard the Figulus twice a day. With charge acceleration, charge time was reduced to 14 weeks.

3. Discussion and Results

Upon recovery, the stone had noticeably more luster and shine. In conversation with Dr. Bacon, the stone was excited for the chance to heal with the power of other worlds.

During use, the patient reported good vibes overall from the stone. Dr. Bacon estimated that the stone released ~30% more healing power than similar stones charged with Jupiter alone, hypothesizing the existence of additional Jupiter-mass planets in the HIP 78530 system.

After 15 days, the patient died.

4. Conclusion

Healing stones require charging. In this study, we confirm for the first time the healing powers of stones charged under exoplanet light. A patient was successfully treated with a crystal charged by HIP 78530 b. Additionally, the crystal was able to reveal the existence of a nearby, previously undetected exoplanet. This discovery marks the first time a healing crystal detected an unknown exoplanet.
