You convinced your roommate to buy a last-minute plane ticket home to confront her own father, after a good long chat about it, you can tell Sarah has found a sense of peace knowing what she has to do to achieve a resolution in this area of her life. You give her a ride to the airport and wait to see how it goes.

A week goes by, and you don’t hear much. One evening there’s a knock on the door. You look to see that it’s a UPS delivery man with a package. You didn’t expect anything. You go to answer see what it is.

“Is this your name?” the man shows you a shipping label with your name on it.

“Yes,” you answer.

“You’ve been served!” they answer. The delivery man dramatically pulls off his hat revealing that she is not only a beautiful woman, but the most powerful prosecuting attorney in the city Gloria Altwell and Associates. You’ve seen her billboards plastered all over town.

You open up the papers to see it’s from Sarah’s mom, she’s suing you for emotional harm and ruining her marriage. You see an incoming call on your cell it’s Sarah.

“Listen, I’m so so so so so so so so so so sorry!,” she starts “Like incredibly sorry, I just found out my mom is suing you.”

“Wait what happened?”

“It was going great but as soon as I confronted my dad and we decided to spend some time together in Hawaii instead of with my mom. Well, she got REALLY angry and they just started shouting, and next thing I knew she’s storming out of the house, they’re getting divorced. I can’t believe I did this; I should have never brought it up, I wish I never got you involved in this. But my mom is a shark, I really really hope you have a good lawyer, cause this is going to get messy”

Turns out you got into the middle of something super messy, dang. Well, you stopped Sarah from resurrecting her dead hamster but ended up ruining her parents’ marriage and getting sued by her litigious mother. I hope it was worth it.
