Your Supervisor is giving you grief for only using Regression

man sitting with laptop computer on desk and lamp

Your boss emails you after you suggest using “Hey, so I saw you were about to suggest using some regression algorithm for that panda job. You can’t just use Regression, they’re expecting more for what they’re paying you for. Unless you can show it outperforming other algorithms, I’d suggest using a neural network or some actual machine learning.” Wow, so your supervisor wants to lean into those buzzwords. It’s a tough one, there’s no reason a regression fit can’t do the job, you cleaned that data! That’s all you need most of the time. What do you do?

Use regression anyway, screw him

Use Regression but call it a single layer Neural Network, you’re not lying.

Try a Neural Network instead, it’s their money…
