You turn it off and it was 2% per year! Everyone is furious! Elon supports your decision

It turns out that you misread the COBOL code and it wasn’t a 0.02 addition to the total but an additional 0.02 to the multiplication to keep up with average inflation. You thought that it was done by something like a consumer price index or whatever, but it was really hand jammed in there.

Your phone starts blowing up with more news notifications about the whole thing. Now people are living off of 1988 dollars. BUT, you’re saving the government billions.

People are really mad and you get a text from your mom. Apparently some angry subreddits found out about what you did and are Doxing you. They also uncovered that your Aunt is a Nazi and that you shouldn’t be working in government. Elon says not to worry about it, you can’t let people get in the way of progress.

What do ya do?

Keep going

Give up

After completing his BS in spaghetti coding at the department of the dark arts at Cranberry Lemon in 2005 he wasted no time in getting a masters in debugging by print statement in 2008 and obtaining his PhD with research in screwing up repos on Github in 2014. That's when he could finally get paid. In 2018 B McGraw finally made the big step of defaulting on his student loans and began advancing his career by adding his name on other people's research papers after finding one grammatical mistake in the Peer Review process.
