man wearing eyeglasses

Hoping that your relatives might know something about chemical analysis and the physics of particle movement, you begin throwing around all manner of buzzwords. You even start throwing down some of the bio-medical compounds names which have way more numbers and letter than real nicknames that you’ve been trying to analyze recently. They should at least recognize what sort of research you’re doing these days. Much more complicated than before you started your research. You still weren’t sure if any of the words were really sticking. All you saw was your fathers blank stare while he sipped on a Coors Light.

What do you do?

Keep throwing jargon around

Wait for a response

After completing his BS in spaghetti coding at the department of the dark arts at Cranberry Lemon in 2005 he wasted no time in getting a masters in debugging by print statement in 2008 and obtaining his PhD with research in screwing up repos on Github in 2014. That's when he could finally get paid. In 2018 B McGraw finally made the big step of defaulting on his student loans and began advancing his career by adding his name on other people's research papers after finding one grammatical mistake in the Peer Review process.
